Daycare

A lifelong journey of learning in connection with your own nature and the nature around you.

This is the motto of Wise, where we welcome one group of over 12 children aged 2-4 years. At our center, a loving, safe, and natural environment is central, where children feel secure and can unfold more easily.

We strive to create an atmosphere that reflects family life.
That is why we involve the children in household chores, such as baking bread, harvesting from the vegetable garden, sweeping the garden, hanging laundry and more.

In our daycare center (KDV), we focus on the individual development of each child, with an emphasis on creative play, independence, respect for others, discovering their own abilities, and social interaction. We encourage children to be themselves and to develop at their own pace.

Nature plays an important role in our program, where we aim for 80% outdoor activities and even encourage sleeping outside. Nature has a positive effect on children, they get sick less quickly, they sleep better and it is good for development. Being in nature stimulates children's creative behavior.
We also have a vegetable garden where we work together with the children. We believe that children should spend a lot of time outside because of its positive health effects.very afternoon a hot meal is prepared for and with the children How nice is it as a parent not to have to cook at home at the end of the day? Because the children eat their hot meal together during the day, they have consumed most of the nutrients for that day.

So no more worries about whether your child is eating enough, seeing food makes you eat and eating together is fun!

Natural materials

We use as many natural materials as possible and offer activities such as playing in the grass, running through mud puddles, gardening and cuddling with animals. Natural materials are not only better for nature, but also for human health.

Peace and quiet is also important, and children can retreat for a moment of silence at any time.

At Wise children learn both Dutch and English, where we integrate both languages in a playful way. Pedagogical staff teach children that objects have multiple names.

This promotes language sensitivity and gives children an advantage in their cognitive development.

Opening hours and number of days

Flexibility and tranquility are core values at Wijs, which is why we have fixed drop-off and pick-up times for the entire Integrated Child Center (IKC). Drop off between 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM and pick up between 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM.
Wijs applies a minimum purchase of two full days.
We advise this from a pedagogical point of view. With two days of care, a child can get used to the environment better and bond better with the pedagogical staff and the other children in the group. As also described in the basic pedagogical goals according to the Childcare Act (see also the pedagogical policy), we want to offer every child a feeling of emotional security, and this is best achieved with a minimum of two days a week.

Children are welcome 52 weeks a year, 4 days a week

(Mon, Tue, Thurs, Fri), between 8am and 6pm and only closed during public holidays.
